A talk about Italian food and gin!

In this mouth-watering tête-à-tête, the authors of The Botany of Gin and How We Fell in Love with Italian Food, Dr Chris Thorogood and Professor Diego Zancani, explore the ancient Greek herbal remedy that evolved into the popular spirit we now know as gin, alongside the transformative impact of Italian food from the thirteenth century to modern cuisine. Chaired by Samuel Fanous, Head of Bodleian Library Publishing. Dr Chris Thorogood is Deputy Director and Head of Science of Oxford Botanic Garden and Arboretum. Professor Diego Zancani is Emeritus Fellow of Balliol College and Emeritus Professor, Medieval and Modern Languages, University of Oxford.
