A very successful event at the Italian Cultural Institute, London. A big thank you to everyone!

And a very special thank you to Sean Gaston and his wonderful introduction: "We are here tonight to celebrate the publication of How We Fell in Love With Italian Food by Diego Zancani, Professor of Medieval and Modern Languages at the University of Oxford and Emeritus Fellow of Balliol College. This splendid and handsome book is an example of that rarest of things: an elegant scholarly work of easy erudition; a finely balanced cultural history that ranges gracefully, with a sharp eye and good and generous humour, from philology to pasta, which also offers fabulous illustrations and a selection of recipes from across the ages, which have been tried and tested by the author, his family and friends. It is perhaps the only academic work that I have read that makes me ravenous."

On the occasion of the 4th edition of the Italian Cuisine Week in the World, I was in conversation with Sean Gaston, Research Fellow in Philosophy at the University of Melbourne, at the Italian Cultural Institute in London. https://iiclondra.esteri.it/iic_londra/en/gli_eventi/calendario/2019/11/how-we-fell-in-love-with-italian.html
